SURFSIDE SHORES CONDO Rental Agreement                         Maximum Occupancy 6 Guests PLEASE READ, PRINT OFF, SIGN YOUR NAME, AND MAIL TO ME (along with your $200 reservation/security deposit check)   Arrival Time 3 PM       Departure Time 10 AM     Earlier arrivals or later departures must be pre-approved or you will be charged an additional day of rent.   ABSOLUTELY   NO SMOKING    NO PETS (you'll be evicted with no deposit refund)   AIR CONDITIONING:  PLEASE DO NOT leave the air conditioning on and the doors or windows open at the same time!!  This will cause the condenser to freeze up, water to drip from the ceiling vents, and the floors will become dangerously slippery.  It will take hours to thaw out and you'll be uncomfortable without the air conditioning. YOU are responsible for any repairs associated with your negligence in this matter.  YOUR DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE RETURNED IF THIS HAPPENS!   THE BALCONY:  The balcony railing is quite strong, but please do not lean on it or climb on it.and do not leave small children unattended on the balcony.  Hanging items over the railing is prohibited by the Gulf Shores Fire department.   WINDS:  The wind can be quite strong at the beach.  When you open the street side door and the French doors open on the balcony it creates a very dangerous draft and the doors will slam shut.  We leave some covered bricks for you to use as a door stop.by the French doors.  Please be very careful.   LAUNDRY:  Your linens and towels are clean when you arrive and they will not be replaced during your stay.  The BEACH TOWELS & ROBES are left as a courtesy and they are NOT a part of the linen service.If you choose to use them.please launder them so they are clean for the next guest.  If you use the PACK N PLAY for your baby, please be sure to clean it up and put it away.   RESPONSIBILITIES:  Your responsibility includes maintaining the property in good  condition as you found it.  To receive your full $200 deposit back on departure you must: Discard all your food  items from the refrigerator/freezer Throw  all garbage down the chute at the east end of the hallway Clean & put away all kitchen items where you found them Leave stove burners and the oven as clean as you found them Remove bed sheets and put them in the bathtub along with all dirty towels   NOISE:  Please be considerate of others if going or coming early or late in the day and please keep children from running up and down the hallways when others may be sleeping.  If enjoying the pool later in the evening or early in the morning please try to keep the noise down as well.   CLEAN UP:  We understand that you are on vacation and some sand will be tracked in.but do not let your children carry sand into the unit.if they do.please use the broom or the vacuum and clean it up.  Required EXCESS cleaning after your departure will result in some of your deposit being withheld.  Most people are SUPER about cleaning up after themselves. this applies to the 1% who do leave a mess.   THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU:  Paper items (such as toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, paper plates) laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, sunscreen, camera, binoculars, sunglasses   LIABILITY:  We cannot be responsible for any mishaps that happen during your stay.  By renting our condo you agree to assume all liability for personal injury or property damage caused by you or your guests during your stay.   MAINTENANCE:  We do not guarantee that the pools, the elevator, the internet, or the cable will be in service.  Normally, they are, but sometimes things go wrong that are beyond our control.  If any of these things are not in service you may report it at the Surfside Manager's office in Building 1 and they will be fixed ASAP.  For problems WITHIN the unit call 815-399-6821. (Ricky Beale)   REFUNDS:   In case of mandatory evacuations your money will be refunded minus any cost for credit card processing if you have paid by credit card.  Otherwise, the full amount  may be credited toward future reservations..or if you paid by check your money will be refunded in full for the evacuated days.   DEPOSIT REFUND: Your $200 deposit will be refunded by check in the mail after you leave everything in good shape as you found it in the condo.and after we receive the keys back by mail.
